The VACON® NXP range of common DC bus drive products includes a number of active front-ends, inverters and brake chopper units. They ensure all energy within a system is effectively utilized and redistributed.
Common DC bus components can be used in many different combinations. In a regenerative DC bus system, the active front-end unit generates power back to the mains network. This is suitable for processes where braking is needed often and the braking power is relatively high. In a non-regenerative system, braking power is redistributed to other drives in the system and possible excess power can be dissipated as heat using an optional brake chopper and brake resistors. This is ideal for small production lines where braking is needed less often.

The VACON® NXP System Drive is a comprehensive configured common DC bus drive line up for heavy-industry needs where round-the-clock activity is required leaving little time for maintenance.
All sections are grouped depending on their functionality, making it possible to plan each installation phase according to your requirements. The engineered sections slot in alongside each other allowing you to arrange integrated transport splits to save space. Alternatively, you can add extra transport sections to speed up installation. All larger modules have slide-out mechanics for easier set-up and maintenance.
The VACON NXP System Drive is built to last. Items such as busbar systems and high/low power devices are separated into individual compartments away from each other. This means that, if an issue occurs, it is compartmentalized and doesn’t cause widespread failure helping to reduce lifetime and maintenance costs.

To help improve performance by making better use of energy, energy storage is increasingly being introduced into systems to create hybrid solutions. Various storage methods are being used but, due to reductions in battery costs and increases in energy density, battery utilization is seen as being the fastest growing and more easily integrated storage medium available today. DC/DC converters can be used to connect to sources such as batteries, super capacitors, fuel cells and solar panels.
Due to the wide input range of the source voltages, for example battery, the VACON® NXP DC/DC Converter application can be used to match source voltage to a common DC bus system in order to utilize the stored energy to create the right DC bus voltage required to operate the machinery running on these hybrid systems.
The VACON® NXP DC/DC Converter application can be installed in both liquid- and air-cooled VACON® NXP drive modules.

VACON® 20 X is a decentralized drive that can either be mounted directly onto a motor or very close by wherever it is located. Its outdoor enclosure protection ensures maximum performance in challenging conditions where heat, dirt and vibration levels are high.
The use of electrical rooms is minimized and cabling costs reduced as the drive can be installed as close to the motor as possible. A protective vent ensures pressure inside the drive is equalized with the surrounding environment. It acts as a barrier against condensation, dust and dirt to ensure reliable drive operation and to prevent the rubber seals from wearing down.
VACON 20 X is quick to install and easy to keep clean. And the built-it PLC functionality makes custom-made software solutions possible.

VACON® 100 X features highly advanced control capability for almost all kinds of applications where a decentralized and robust solution is the best option. All the power components, including harmonic filtering chokes, are built into one compact and robust unit. A single terminal box contains the control unit and all the drive’s wiring freeing up space elsewhere.
The IP66/Type 4X Outdoor enclosure makes the drive suitable for use in harsh environments. It can be placed either onto the motor or as close to the motor equipment as possible. This makes it ideal for retrofitting, rooftop applications and with machinery that is subject to regular wash-downs. Cabinets, shielded cabling and electrical rooms are unnecessary.
The large cooling ribs on the front of the drive enclosure provide cooling without collecting dust. They allow full access to the heatsink and can be cleaned with pressurized water making them easy to maintain and ensuring reliable operation.

The WM18700B-340 is able to produce up to 18.700 liters of water per day. Designed around a very efficient high pressure pump and a new membrane concept the unit will provide unsurpassed performance for sea water RO units without energy recovery system. At only 6.3 kWh/m³ the unit has an energy consumption significantly below most other RO units of this size in the market…and it is still a very high quality product at a very competitive price.
The latest models in the Watermaker series is the watermaker WM 22000E-340. This model also has a patented energy recovery system which cuts the power consumption to around 2.2 kWh/m³ or better. This watermaker is designed to operate completely automatically and the integrated, custom made controller does away with all the normal inconveniences of reverse osmosis systems. At the same time the watermaker is incredibly compact, the WM11000E measuring only up to 1192 x 563 x 730 mm, exclusive of the small control box, and weighs only 120 kg. This practical design makes access to all components easy and quick. This new watermaker gives the customer great value for money.
With a production of 22,000 litres per day the WM22000E-340 is ideal for large private homes, backup water systems, light commercial use in e.g. hotels and resorts etc. and for remote community water supply in developing regions based on salty ground water or even sea water as source.
dU/dt filters reduce the dU/dt values on the motor terminal phase-to-phase voltage an issue that is important for short motor cables
