<h3>1. Working principle</h3>

 External CT detects the load current, DSP tracks instruction current and calculates the harmonic content through Intelligent Fast Fourier algorithm. Then DSP sends PWM signal to IGBT driving board which can control IGBT turning on and off to generate opposite phase of compensation harmonic current. At the same time CT detects the output current and compensation result is fed back to DSP, then the next round of logic control is carried out to realize stable power grid.</p>

<p>Compared to two-level topology, Sinexcel AHF adopts three-level topology which has twice the IGBT modules guarantees 35kHz switching frequency, and with two IGBT in each bridge arm to share the DC bus voltage instead of one, the switching losses is reduced. And three-level inverter uses multiple levels to synthesize stepped waves to approximate the sinusoidal output voltage. As there is one more output level than a two-level inverter, its output PWM wave is closer to the sinusoidal waveform with less ripple content which guarantees the output  compensation current without attenuation.</p>
<p><strong>Intelligent Fast Fourier algorithm (avoid resonance and more accurate compensation)</strong></p>
<p>Sinexcel AHF adopts Intelligent Fast Fourier algorithm instead of FFT-Fast Fourier Transform as unique intelligent FFT can automatically study system impedance, identify feature of individual harmonic order to regulate the distribution of compensation capacity, if program detects some harmonic order has resonance, it stops outputting at the order but continuous compensates the others, otherwise outputs all capacity that system needs within 5 mins. If resonance changes to the other harmonic order, the next round of self-learning is carried out to prevent system from resonance.</p>

Wall-mounted and rack-mounted design with compact footprint make it flexible to be integrated into the system, 5 pcs modules can be put into one single cabinet with maximum capacity 750A and plug-type module can be also a choice which saves a lot space and more convenient.</p>

 External CT detects the load current, DSP tracks instruction current and calculates the reactive power change rate through the Instantaneous Reactive Power Algorithm. Then DSP sends PWM signal to IGBT driving board which can control IGBT on and off to generate inductive or capacitive compensation current. At the same time CT detects the output current and compensation result is fed back to DSP, then the next round of logic control is carried out to realize stable power grid.</p>
<h3>2. Advantage</h3>
<p><strong>Superior performance (PFC 0.99&amp;-1~1 Compensating)<br />
 </strong>Sinexcel SVG adopts inverter-based technology which is an active solution for power factor correction that it can realize step-less compensation without over-compensation and under- compensation. PFC process with both inductive reactive power and capacitive reactive power within 15ms and maintains PF 0.99at all timesirrespective of how much or how fast the system reactive power changes,instead of cap-banks can only compensate inductive reactive power.</p>
<p><strong>High Reliability (long lifespan &amp; operate normally in 15% THDV environment)<br />
 </strong>The MTBF (mean time between failures) of Sinexcel SVG is up to 100000 hours of operation, but for capbank whose available compensating capacity is directly determined by the capacity of every single capacitor whichwill decrease over time,it needs to be monitored and replaced at regular intervals.As cap bank is a passive solution, it works by changing the system impedance which can increase resonance risk. And capacitor impedance related to current frequency, harmonic currents cause an internal breakdown of the capacitors and may result in an explosion. Instead Sinexcel SVG is not influenced by harmonicand can operate normally in 15% THDV environment due to the inverter-based technology.</p>
<p>Moreover, Sinexcel SVG can compensate the leading and lagging power factor and has tolerance on the high THDI, THDU system.  </p>

 Sinexcel Advanced Static Var Generator (ASVG) conducts real-time monitoring to load current through external Current Transformer (CT) and detects reactive components and harmonic from load current through the calculation of internal Digital Signal Processor (DSP) , then transmits PWM signal to internal Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT). Conforming reactive current and low-order harmonic current are generated by inverter with control settings to achieve reactive compensation and control harmonic.</p>
